When I first started buying Blu-ray movies I found myself double dipping on titles I already owned on DVD. I have lately been trying very hard to not get movies I already own and pursue the one's I don't. The only problem with this is that Blu-ray is WAY more addictive than DVD just due to the audio...

Thanks Dave. From what I've found, AVC does indeed seem to be leaning towards the format of choice so far....

What is the difference between VC-1 and AVC in laymans terms. Am I "supposed" to see a difference between the two when watching blu-ray movies?

If they can fit all the movies on one disc that would be great as long as it doesn't jeopardize getting all the special features on it as well.
