Could the Back to the Future trilogy fit on one disc?

Could they maintain a decent picture and at least DD sound and include the entire back to the future trilogy on one Blu-Ray? It seems like the capacity could allow it. The way one starts how the other ends would make it perfect to watch as one movie, which I've always wanted to do, or offer you choices of just one. I'm sure there are some other series this idea could work with.

If you don't like the movies, don't reply, not here to talk about if the movies are good, just logistics :)

I would prefer them to be spread over a number of discs.

However with a lot of effort I am sure they could squeeze them onto one BD50 with perhaps mediocre results.

Yeah I'd like separate disc releases, but it would be fun for kicks to have a disc that just had the whole trilogy and maybe DD 5.1 or stereo sound (I think I'm right in thinking they were shot in stereo, in any case no less channels than the theatrical release, but probably couldn't fit HD sound formats). With just a 640kbps sound stream, the movies could fit as one. Maybe include it as a 4th disc with extra special versions of the other movies. Not like this will ever happen, but I've been tempted to tie them together myself for one uninterrupted experience, though i couldn't do that with any quality to it.

If they can fit all the movies on one disc that would be great as long as it doesn't jeopardize getting all the special features on it as well. 8)

Based on Universal's Blu-ray output, I would expect them to do them on separate discs...

If Warner owned them, they might do one disc lol... ;)
