Avatar Collector Edition sound format - it's 24 bits too.

Post by Korrigan » Sun Dec 30, 2012 1:24 am

Hi,

I subscribed just to signal a little mistake about the Avatar Collector edition Blu-Ray.
The sound format is definitely "DTS-MA 5.1 24bit" like the non-collector edition, and not just "DTS-MA 5.1".

Hopefully more users can confirm this, but my decoder reports the sound as being 24 bit.

Thanks I have made the adjustment.

Generally for bit depth I can only add this information when someone can confirm it.

I am sure that most titles in the last few years with lossless audio are 24 bit... but I need 'prrof' to add the spec to the site :)

Cheers!

Thanks - I'll make sure to report more 24bit audio tracks if I happen to spot any which are incorrect here :)
