IMAX SHARKS 3D AUDIO QUESTION

Post by loco » Sun Oct 21, 2012 7:50 pm

HI ALL

I just watched imax Sharks 3D

and i noticed that The music of the film would sometimes be higher then the Dialogue of the presenter making it heard to hear what he is saying over the music

and vice versa

is that the way the film is made??

anyone else notice it? ??

also noticed the same thing with Imax 3D Ocean Wonderland

Typically it is how it was made, but also if you are downmixing from 5.1 or similar, weird things can happen.

You could check to see if there is an alternate soundtrack.

I think I have one of those Universal Studios 3D releases, but not sure which one.

I believe that they were made for IMAX, so that may be the root of the problem...

The IMAX films quite often have more exaggerated 3D also, and partly get away with it due to the shorter run time...
